Get back to doing what you love
What can Eelco Baak Life Coaching do for you?
By working with Eelco Baak as a Life Coach, you will achieve your goals much faster than you would on your own. This is because every person has blind spots. The coach sees those blind spots and lets you see things in a different perspective. The coach creates awareness by asking the right questions and noticing incongruences. Eelco Baak has got the right tools to do this because he has been formally trained by the Institute for Life Coaching (ILCT). See more about the coaching process below.
Are we a match?
- Do you want to deal with the obstacles that are keeping you from living your life purpose?
- Are you off course and want to get back on track?
- Do you want to find your life purpose?
- Do you know you can get much more out of yourself/life than you currently do?
- Are you hesitant about how to accomplish certain goals?
- Do you want to work towards a meaningful, fulfilling, satisfying life?
If the answer to any of these questions is YES, then I want to work with you!
How to find the right coach
A coaching relationship is a very personal one. In order for a coach to be effective, you must share personal information. Therefore, it is very important that you feel safe and comfortable with the coach. Your coach needs to understand your learning style.
My advice is to research at least three coaches and answer the following questions:
- Do I feel a connection with this coach? (most coaches offer a free introduction conversation)
- Do I like the pace the coach speaks and works with?
- Has the coach been formally trained?
- Do I like coach’s approach/style and tools?
- Can I afford the rates?
- Does the coach have positive testimonials?
Eelco Baak Life Coaching
Eelco Baak Life Coaching not only distinguishes itself because of the great results I achieved in my own life, but also because I have been formally trained by the Institute for Life Coach Training (ILCT). Furthermore my calm and humorous personality make my life coaching unique.
I am a personal development fanatic and read a lot of books on personal development, psychology, religion, mythology and spirituality. This knowledge can bring insights to clients but I always respect the client as the expert in his/her life and profession.
With me as a coach, you will get the answers and tap into the wisdom you had inside you all along. You will open your eyes, use your potential to the max, and live the life you are meant to live.
What does Eelco Baak stand for?
I have had struggles in my life and overcame those. I created a life of peace and fulfillment. Now I want to give back to you what I have learned; that life is meant to be enjoyed, not to be a survival, and that with the right tools and plans, it’s possible to achieve that. In my view everyone on this earth has unique personalities and skills that are meant to be used and developed.
What I want for you is to feel happy, content and fulfilled in life. I want to partner with you to overcome the obstacles that are keeping you from living your life purpose. I partner with you to (re)discover why you were born.
I use my knowledge and life experience to help my clients, but my formal training at ILCT allows me to do this in a structured way. I furthermore commit to abide by the ICF Code of Ethics.
What is Life Coaching?
I couldn’t define coaching better than the definition by International Coaching Federation (ICF):
“Professional Coaching is an ongoing professional relationship that helps people produce extraordinary results in their lives, careers, businesses or organizations. Through the process of coaching, clients deepen their learning, improve their performance, and enhance their quality of life.
In each meeting, the client chooses the focus of conversation, while the coach listens and contributes observations and questions. This interaction creates clarity and moves the client into action.
Coaching accelerates the client’s progress by providing greater focus and awareness of choice. Coaching concentrates on where clients are now and what they are willing to do to get where they want to be in the future.
ICF member coaches and ICF credentialed coaches recognize that results are a matter of the client’s intentions, choices and actions, supported by the coach’s efforts and application of the coaching process.”
“Eelco has a natural talent for asking the right questions to address certain issues such as limiting beliefs, getting out of your comfort zone and while doing so, discovering your life purpose. Though the sessions were at times intensive, it always left me with some food for thought. Be prepared to (re)discover yourself.”

“Starting on a journey seeking your purpose was very exciting! Really taking time to think and search what you really want out of life is very surreal. Eelco was very passionate in guiding me through the process. He would challenge me to look at things form different angles. Everybody needs someone in their corner and Eelco was definitely in mine.”

The coaching process
The client determines the agenda of the coaching relation and of individual sessions. Every client is at a different stage of his/her development. This way the process of every client is unique. To mention some common steps:
- Getting your core values crystal clear
- Determining your signature strengths
- Find out what you are passionate about
- Formulate your life purpose or vision
- Identifying limiting beliefs
- Identifying energy drainers and obstacles
- Improving you communication with spouse, family, peers, and colleagues
- Taking responsibility for your own life and expand your circle of influence
- Creating a realistic plan to reach your goals
- Holding you accountable for your planned action steps
“I have always been a very creative person but pursued a “safe” career instead. I graduated Law school and became a lawyer but a simple question like “what makes you happy” was incredibly difficult for me to answer. I simply did not know.
Eelco had some fun and soul baring questions and made me travel back in time to my youth: a time I did things for fun, for no particular reason and just because it made me happy. I was shocked: how could I forget those activities and why was I not doing any of them?
After some sessions I (re)discovered my values and realized I wasn’t honoring them as I should. I became very aware of what I allowed in my life and did a major clean up in my life. Living according to my values makes me feel in control, alive and very happy.”
