Who is Life Coaching suitable for?

Life coaching is suitable for anyone who wants to get the most out of themselves and life. Examples of challenges are:

Work-life balance

You have a good job that requires a lot of attention. A lot is expected of you at home; from your partner and / or children or friends and family. You wear all kinds of hats.

How do you keep all the balls in the air without it costing you truckloads of energy? How do maintain joy? How do you divide your attention? Or how do you maintain focus?


Assertiveness: Learn how to say ‘no’

You like to help other people. It gives you energy to support friends or colleagues. But you see yourself saying ‘yes’ to almost all requests you get. It is starting to cost you more energy than it is giving you.

You can stand up for someone else but you want to stand up for yourself more. Take your own needs seriously.


Dealing with challenges

In life you will inevitably face setbacks. A divorce, (forced) emigration, job loss, loss of loved ones, bankruptcy, lawsuits… I have been through it all and came out stronger. I help you navigate these difficult times.

You have one or more goals in life but somehow you fail. Examples are: losing weight, finishing a study, getting finances in order, etc. you suffer from procrastination, you have no strategy or you don’t know where to start.

During the coaching we look for what you need to really achieve your goals this time.


How does Life Coaching work?

A Life coaching program is usually between 5 and 7 1.5-hour sessions. You can determine the frequency yourself. However, my experience shows that you get the best results the fastest if you meet every week or every other week. If you keep more than two weeks between sessions, you may lose momentum; things disappear from your radar. Moreover, a lot can happen which can make it difficult to keep focus.

The sessions can take place online or in each other’s physical presence (face-to-face). Online coaching can happen by phone, via Skype, Zoom, Google Hangouts, WhatsApp call, etc., provided your internet connection is fast enough. If you want to meet physically, I rent a coach room in The Hague, or we take a walk through the forest or the dunes. As an exception I can also come to you. Ask for the possibilities.

Life coaching has no fixed step-by-step plan. You determine the agenda for each session. You decide what we’re going to talk about. Of course, you will receive professional guidance from me. Topics that may be covered include:

  • Insight into your behavior
  • Insight into what gives you energy and what leaks your energy
  • Insight into your short- and long-term goals
